2.1 Target Audience
Age – 5-15
Gender – Female
Demographic – Young, working class people
For my product, I am going to conduct a diorama using my art style. My art style is particularly colourful, but simplistic, which could affect who I am aiming at for my target audience. Those features in my art style may attract more of the younger crowd, more likely the working class people. My primary gender would be female, mostly because I am a female myself. After doing some research on games within my age group, in terms of visuals, the art style is very simple, which is what I intend to do for my target audience. Below are some examples of games that are aimed towards my age-group

2.1 Statistical Data

Above is a presentation board showing some of the research I have done for my target audience. I am aiming towards 5-15 year olds, which is quite a complicated year group, as they are the children becoming teens – tweens – to later teen years. For this research, I had a look at both age groups separately to get a rough idea on the interests for both sides.
In terms of the gender demographic, 46% are gamers. A large percentage of them play mobile games daily, a higher percentage then males, and they also make up high percentage of players who play simulations games. In terms of colours, they have a preference for red to blue or yellow to orange, but females have a wider preference for colour than males. Young adolescent females also have a preference for various tones and shades of pink and purple.
Around this age-group, they appeal towards animated features, and in particular, aim towards media with a cartoon appearance and simplistic visuals.

2.2 Audience Profile

Further deluging into what my target audience preferences are, I made an audience profile for my audience. I had a look at the different sort of media they are into, as well as their internet habits and purchase preferences. This target audience was quite difficult to research for, because on half is of young girls, whilst the other side is young girls preparing to become young women, so their tastes and preferences would change over time. So, I tried to find brands and examples that are still preferable to both sides.
The media is mostly the same as I have done for my initial research, they allure towards media with simple art style that also appears cartoonish. I also included some examples of mobile games, since according to research about my target audience, they make up quite a big portion of mobile app gamers.
The internet usage mostly consists of social media and the use of Youtube, and as they get older, they use it more often. Some brands that they use consist of jewelry and accessory shops, such as Claire’s, and they also are quite keen on Barbie dolls.
