Mind Map:

For the mindmap, I decided to expect both sides with the same subject. I used three such subjects (the sort of people, events that could’ve happened, and places that can be affected), using blue arrows to signify order, and red to signify chaos.
Order was a bit more clear and understanding, it conducts of the people who uphold peace and discipline. Events that could happen include trials – where if conducted properly, should be done fairly – or even treaties, where people come up to formal agreements, another form of order. When I think of places, I imagine places that are scenic, and perfect. Some of these include forestry scenery, lush fields, and very well maintained buildings, such as manors.
Chaos is much drastically different to order. The people who become involved in this theme – regardless of their moral and ethic – prefer more bizarre and aggressive actions, some of these people could include criminals, anarchists, or even rebellions. Linking back to order, however, some people who are seen as to hold control, may abuse this power for contrast, causing chaos. Such events that could occur due to chaos include wars and revolutions, which can cause chaos on a global issue, while events such as riots are a lot more specific. Some locations are a generally seen as dark and morbid, or depressing. Prisons are often seen as a location where chaos can ensue, due to mass amount of prisoners who have to reside in them. Asylums – particularly older style types – are also associated with chaos, due to the confusion and negative energy surrounding them. Locations such as mansions and other big buildings, which are often seen as a form of order and control, may fall in disarray, and rust down, possibly destroyed through actions of those seeking to cause destruction.
Moodboards:
Order

When I researched order, most of what popped up were images of how items were neatly arranged, and this can link back to order. I decided to take some photography of my personal arrangements for this moodboard, to showcase order around the home. I also found some images of picturesque mansions, which appear perfect, and refined, suiting the order theme. I do like how everything appears organised and how, in terms of the buildings I researched, they look perfectly done and appear very well preserved.
Chaos

Contrast to order, chaos is mostly seen as messy and unorganized. Although I didn’t do much photography for this moodboard, I did add more photos onto this piece, showcasing moments where I have arrangements that are messy. I also looked at images that showed disorganization, as well as buildings that have fallen into disarray. It appears very chaotic, and also has a negative feel to it. I am not very keen on the idea of chaos in reality, but I don’t mind the idea in terms of a the feel of destruction and the impact it will have.
Order – People

For people when I looked up order, I mainly aimed at people who are suppose to symbolize holding the peace. Some of these include police officers, who put up their lives for the peace – although it is possible to juxtapose this into chaos in the case of corrupt police officers. I also tried to look at images of monarchies and/or gods, who are often symbolized to hold order over where they rule or where they are worshiped. I tried to look up heroes too, as some could see them as true holders of peace, if the case that any of the above were ever to corrupt into chaos.
Order – Locations

For order in terms of locations, I looked for locations that appear tranquil, and peaceful, such as beautiful fields and valleys, as well as mansions that are very well preserved. I also had a look at places were order is paramount, and strictly enforced. Some of these include courthouses, where there are many cases that need to be solved civilly, and I even looked at possible monasteries and nunneries, although targeted at religion, they have very strict rules to follow, and are strictly disciplined in their areas. I do prefer the side of scenery, rather than inside buildings – as I researched the courthouses – it just feels peaceful and calm, linking to the order theme.
Chaos – People

Chaos was a little more fun to research. I looked up some of the obvious types – such as criminals and rebels, the sort of people who stereotypical cause mayhem either for personal reasons or for the fun of it. I also looked at rioters, as they cause extreme acts of violence, even if it has good intentions, only it can lead to devastation for innocent people. I also had a look for dictators and warlords, the sort of leaders who use harsh aggression for what they want. What I like about chaotic characters, is that they always have more beyond their appearance, so you can always make them look bad and horrible, but some of them have deeper motives, and may have a better morale than those who are suppose to uphold order.
Chaos – Locations

Chaotic locations are a bit more understanding to think of in contrast to order. I looked at buildings that have been destroyed – purposely or unintentionally – as well as buildings that have fallen into disarray over the years. I also looked at cities and fields that have clearly been destroyed by violence and warfare, places that are normally seen as peaceful, being destroyed by chaos. I have always found buildings that are in a ruined state to be hypnotizing, I always find them to be mysterious and I love how they appear. But in terms of a wider scene, I always feel sad seeing images of warfare and cities being destroyed, as it always feels like it should never be that way.
