My research is aimed towards younger females, and I think I have done well to accomplish this goal. The diorama I created is aimed towards a younger audience, somewhat simplistic in appearance. I have aimed towards this, as my diorama isn’t very detailed, and I tried to use colour sets from my research on the sort of games that my target audience would play. When I initially started this project, I had a rough idea on the sort of diorama I could do, but until I did the research, I had no idea on how to produce it. It helped me to come up with the specifics of how my diorama would turn out, such as the features I would add, and how much detail I had to add.
For this project, I wanted to have a go at a style I was attempting to do in a previous project, but never got around to doing so. I decided to do that technique for this project. It involved using blocks of shapes in order to make the overall diorama. For this, I would do the outline for parts of my diorama to serve as a trace to get the shape, and then fill that shape in the colour I need. As well as using this technique, to help me understand the perspective I wanted, I created a 3D model on Maya, using simple shapes, to get an idea for the set out of my diorama. I ended up using this as my base for my idea. I also wanted to have a go at this to further my 3D modelling skills whilst working at my own pace.

Throughout this project, most of my feedback has been about the annotations that I am adding to my documentation. I can agree with this, since I don’t add much annotation to my work, mostly because I struggle to come up with what to write. I do think my use of the screenprinting technique went well too, as it produced an effective diorama, however, during the development, it was a pain to fill in, for I would occasionally miss out colouring whole sections, which I wouldn’t notice until much later. It was also a struggle with the amount of layers I produced for the piece, however, I am proud of the result. If I had the chance to do this again, I would try to make the diorama a bit bigger, and possibly add a few more details, such as effects in the sand, details on the crates, etc.
Throughout this project, I learned how to use the screenprinting technique, and was able to use it in an official piece of work. I also learned more about using Maya and its components, for I struggled with using Maya before.
