5.1 Reflection

My research hasn’t really influenced my promotional materials. I never intended to go to university for personal reasons, so I wasn’t too worried about creating my UCAS application. I was also insecure about what to put into my personal statement, and I had to ask for help in order to complete it.

Most of this project has mostly been helping me improve my skills in the field I am interested in, which is also a bonus for me personally, as I draw for fun. It helped me to create better artwork, and I can tell the differences between my original piece, and the pieces I have made at this moment.

Most of the work in my portfolio consists of my personal work, as well as some of my project work. It is mostly 2D concept art. I could add some of the models I have made, but I am not sure how to add models with the portfolio I have chosen. I have also done some life drawings, but I am not too keen on those drawings. Most of the peer feedback I have received has mostly consisted of adding more pieces to my portfolio, and trying to add a variety to it.

Most of what I have learnt during this project was mostly art skills to help me improve my traditional drawings. As I prefer to draw traditional before digitally, this helped me very much, as I can now produce better quality work both for my projects and for my personal leisure. I don’t intend to go to university, but it has helped me to learn more about what to expect if I intend to change my mind.
