4.1 Portfolio Review

So far for my portfolio, I have added the following pieces:

. Character designs (two different characters, focusing on using Photoshop and the art style I am aiming to use, also included are the original traditional sketches of the said characters)

. FMP (Environmental asset work)

. Diorama project (A Western themed diorama, with focus on an asset included)

Although I am proud of the stuff I have added into my portfolio, it’s not big, and it does feel like it is lacking, as I only have four pieces uploaded into my portfolio. I have done some life-drawing and a few other traditional drawing pieces, however, I haven’t been able to have them added yet. I also lack some of the 3D models I made. This is due to how I am unsure of how to submit those onto the software I am using as my portfolio.

Below is a list of ideas that I could add to my portfolio:

. Traditional sketches (Life-drawings, anatomy drawings)

. 3D Models (As I am not as well experienced with 3D modelling, I would probably add some assets we have made, such as crates and a dagger)

. Life drawings (Drawings and sketches from my sessions and my spare time)

. Concept art (Character art, using my new anatomy skills, environmental art, asset art)

I can submit my life drawings onto my portfolio, as soon as they get scanned/photographed to a good quality, and once I find out how to submit 3D models, I hope to submit those to my portfolio too. After that, I mostly need to focus on my own work, such as the character art that I produce for leisure, I could possibly draw them onto Photoshop, to show off my digital art skills. I can also use this to practice the art style I have adapted to use.
